Do Komodo dragons ever encounter any large constrictor snakes?

Answer Hi George Komodo dragons do not encounter any other large carnivores such as constrictors, Crocodiles or even big cats. This is because they evolved isolated from these species and filled the role of top predator. If any large constrictors or Crocodiles were introduced into the Komodo’s ecosystem they would easily dominate the Komodo population. This is because as the Komodo has evolved without having to face such competition it is not designed for fighting anything that can fight back aggressively. The Komodo kills by biting once then retreating, leaving the wound to become infected from the myriad of bacteria inside the komodo’s mouth. This however takes a week or so and would be useless against reptiles as their immune systems are advanced enough to combat these bacteria. In a fight with any of the aforementioned animals the Komodo would be quickly killed.
