Do lead-free products need to be certified?

California passed Senate Bill No. 1334 Chapter 580 which is an act to amend Section 116875 of the Health and Safety Code, relating to drinking water. SB 1334 requires lead-free products to be certified by an independent third-party laboratory. As of January 2009, Vermont does not require third-party certification. To the best of our knowledge, no other U.S. States require any such third party certification as of the date of this publication.
