Do left handed people have better senses of taste and smell than right?
I did a science fair project on taste and smell. 45 volunteers were given substances and timed as to their reactions. Left handed people had faster times and more correct replies on all substances (sweet, salty, sour, and bitter were tested). The left handed people had very similar average ages and male to female ratios compared to the right handers, so it appears, at least in our experiment, that left handed people have better senses of taste and smell. I am looking for a possible scientific explanation for this.
