I should think some do. Soldiers are brave and fearless, fighting to defend our countries and freedom (steriotypically), boys play with soldiers and play with guns and like fighting. ….But my nephew hopes to be an ice-cream man when he grows up.

If they are given soliders as a positive or neutral role model, yes. Boys are naturally agressive and soldiers are shown as aggressive, a natural match.
