Hi. I had a pair of Louis Vuitton men's boots a year or two back, and they were easily a half-size too small. I ended up returning them and getting a new pair that was a size larger than normal, and they fit great. Who knows if my experience was unique, but I'm definitely much happier with the better-fitting shoes.
