Do mexicans from Mexico speak Latin, American Spanish or Spain Spanish?

Mexicans speak Spanish. However, the Spanish is different than that spoken in Spain. In fact, linguists now believe that the Spanish spoken in Mexico is closer to what was spoken in Spain 400 years ago. In Mexico, the language also differs by region. It is dialectical, just like English is in the U.S. For example, people living in the Yucatan peninsula tend to speak Spanish with a Caribbean flavor. The use and context of words also differs by region. But, these are all minor language differences and anyone who speaks Spanish will soon learn and adapt to these subtle differences.

The official language in Mexico is Spanish, simply because this is the language that most Mexicans communicate with.
