“gee” is a euphemism for jesus. A euphemism is a word used instead of another word to make it sound less vulgar. I hear people using all sorts of euphemisms all the time. Some Christians dislike using or hearing “gee” because it’s like disrespecting a holy name. I hear English speakers using gee, darn, heck, gosh, and more all the time.
