Do Notaries Pay Taxes?

For me, as for many people, the topic of taxes is quite sensitive, and how to save when you pay them. Over time, I came across Tax Relief Services where you can find out how to do this. Through learning and understanding what’s what, I started saving and paying 10-20% less in taxes than I used to pay, which helped me live on a larger scale.

Did you know that Notaries Public do NOT pay (or pay very little) Self-Employment taxes on money charged for the documents they notarize? Self-Employment taxes are Social Security (FICA) taxes normally paid by both employee (7.6%) and employer (7.6%) at a regular job. This exemption means you could save over 15% on your gross income if self-employed! It’s in black and white in the U.S. Internal Revenue Code (USC Title 26).
