Do other breastfeeding mums get a sharp pricking pain under their armpit as they feed?

It is very normal to have a prickling or tingling sensation at the moment you descibe. It may also happen when your child cries or if you are away from your child. Lumps are also very common. Throughout my pregnancy and all through breastfeeding my son i had a lump that would get a prickling feeling and i was certain it was more then just a milk duct. 4 months since ceasing feeding and the lump is completely gone and so is the pain. If it is excruciating or seems more painful then you would think it should be contact your doctor as you can get mastitis (an infection), also if your breasts feel hot or you get a fever or feel fluey, that is not normal.
