Do people ever feel depressed on an expedition?

Yes you can feel a bit depressed at times, just as you can feel very excited at other times. Adjusting to these highs and lows is helped considerably by working in a fire. You will be amazed at how the other members of your fire become real friends very quickly. At first you will wonder how you are ever going to live with these strangers for so long….but by the end of the expedition you will be lifelong friends. And the post expedition reunions are something else altogether!
