You cannot eliminate the thought of White=Rich Theory among developing countries (Third World as others may say) such as the Philippines. Talk to a farmer in the boondocks, a street vendor selling balut, a group of children in a barangay, you’ll get to know what comes into their mind hearing (or just seeing) a white man talking to them. Ask a common Filipino, he/she have the idea of This Crisis, but they don’t really know that Americans are struggling and worried about losing their jobs. They don’t intently know that many people have lost their homes and retirement investments. They don’t really know the reason/s why a number of Americans decided to go to a foreign place to settle and hope for the good, watching mother America flap her wings once again.
