Do people smoke White Sage?
Genereally what’s smoked is Saliva Divinorum, (the Diviner’s Sage, ect…) for it’s psychoactive properties. White sage is, as mentioned before, used most commonly as a smudge stick. However I find the smoke to have a relaxing and calming effect, not necessarily a high or anything, but it’s definitely something. At least for me.
Upon lighting a small leaf of white sage and inhaling the smoke through the mouth and nose, holding it for about 10-30 seconds, I noticed an immediate relaxed state. It was almost the same feeling as a 30 minute to an hour deep meditation session gives. This state lasted only about 15 minutes, but the relaxation of my whole body on a physical level lasted all day. It is great for the beginning of a meditation session, healing work or just self clearing. And, I did not roll it with any paper. I lit the dried leaf itself and inhaled the smoke from very close to the leaf through the air.
