Do people still co-sleep with babies these days?

I was given same advice, but when I pushed my midwives for further info they said it is what they have to tell new mums but it wasn’t something they were concerned about (unless smoker/ on drugs or drunk etc) and they had done it with their children. I breastfed my little girl and breastfed babies tend to want to feed an awful lot during the night. I co slept with my little girl and she was able to feed from me whilst I drifted back to sleep, I never felt exhaustion new mums normally feel, by 2 months she slept half night in her bed and by three months she slept the whole night in her bed, this happened naturally and it felt right for us. I felt she needed that closeness and don’t believe it has caused any problems for her sleeping on her own. I found you instinctively know there is a baby next to you and you don’t really move when they are there. It’s a personal choice though…
