Do pipeline companies always compensate landowners for pipeline maintenance work?

0

Not always. The performance of investigative digs and maintenance-related excavations is provided for by easement agreements. Existing easement agreements between Enbridge and the landowners along our pipeline ROW secure Enbridge’s right of access to inspect, maintain and repair its pipelines. Easement agreements also specify the types of damages pipeline companies are responsible for paying. Our practice is to calculate and compensate for damages in a fair and equitable way that addresses the actual damages suffered by the landowner.
