There are a couple of things that you have to think about. Police in essence are supposed to follow all traffic laws. There are times when you will see police speed by you at a high rate of speed with no lights and sirens. Usually in that case the Officer is carrying out his normal law enforcement duties they are exempt as long as they follow due regard. You have no idea the reason behind him speeding; he may be going to a robbery, Domestic violence, and violent crime in progress, Burglary… Etc. If they used there lights and sirens near the scene of the crime then criminals would get away!
