Do radar detectors really work 100% of the time?
A first important point: Radar jammers are illegal to use in nearly every country, including all of North America, Europe, New Zealand and Australia. In the U.S., it is a **Federal offense** to use a radar jammer in any state. Passive radar jammers DO NOT WORK (that’s why they are still legal). The best radar detectors will detect police radar at up to 10+ miles with very few false alarms. The less you spend on a radar detector, the more unreliable it will be: the less likely it will detect police radar at a sufficient distance and the more likely it will give false alerts.
