No. Simply Safe products do not disinfect. They are effective cleaners that do not claim to kill microorganisms. Comparing a non-disinfecting cleaner to a disinfecting cleaner is like comparing apples to oranges. The question then becomes why and where do you might need a disinfecting product in your home. There are only a couple of instances where these products really need to be used in a home (unless perhaps you have a suppressed immune system or other condition that would require greater than normal use). For instance, if the pet has an accident on the floor, you would clean up the mess using a disposable paper towel and an all purpose cleaner, and then disinfect the area.
