Do sleep masks help insomniacs sleep better?

If morning sunlight wakes you up and you can’t get back to sleep, like me, then yes it could help you. I can’t stand any light at all when I sleep. I have a sleep mask but I feel it on me and it keeps me awake. We use eclipse insulated curtains which block light and have the added benefit of reducing energy costs. The curtains were $19.99 a panel and they can be found online or at Walmart and Target stores. JCPenney makes their own version. I use Melatonin myself, but read about it before you decide to try it. It now takes me twice the original dose and I have read on medlineplus.gov under supplements that it can cause depression. www.medlineplus.gov is a great source to learn about insomnia, treatments and the studies done on drugs and supplements to help you make the safest choice for you.
