Do some people need to wear glasses after LASIK?
Nearly every patient who has LASIK has adequate vision to function well without correction for distance. The majority of our visual world is no smaller than 20/40. Some patients may find that they require a minor eyeglass correction in order to see fine detail. Also, LASIK does not take away the need for reading glasses that many people begin to experience at about the age of 40.
