Do some secondary schools in England prefer to take children from certain primary schools?
No, there aren’t supposed to be feeder schools any more – if the schools are near each other then it may simply be they’re in the same catchment area & the same children who attended the primary school will attend the secondary school If you ring your local Council & ask to speak to the School Admissions section they’ll be able to explain how places are allocated. You may even find their policy on the Council website.
