Yes. QDROs are needed if the benefits are to be divided in a divorce or dissolution. One QDRO is needed for each benefit that is being split. For example, if you have a PERS account, an SBS-AP account, and a Deferred Compensation Plan, you need a QDRO for each account so you would need 3 QDROs in that case. Each QDRO would authorize the state Division of Retirement and Benefits to make payments to both the participant and to the former spouse.
