Do straw polls equate for anything?
Why is there so much attention on Straw Polls? For years, organizations have conducted these polls and claimed that they represent the Republican base. Mitt Romney won the 2008 Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) straw poll, even though two days prior he had suspended his campaign. In Florida the big straw poll push has been for the 2010 Senate Race, only Marco Rubio and Governor Crist appear on that ballot.
