Do students need to attend classes to pass the CFA exams?
The CFA exam is primarily designed to be a self-study program. The majority of candidates study for the program by themselves or form small study groups to help them along the way. Many prestigious universities and training centers; including Finance Grid Limited, offer classroom coaching for the CFA program. Since the program curriculum is demanding, and many students need a structured learning process, they are able to improve their chances of exam success through attending class lectures. We feel that attending CFA classes improves the chances of success in the exam, though it is a personal decision of the candidate ultimately. The CFA Institute does not endorse any training provider nor provides training for the program itself.
