Do students receiving counseling have a connection with Student Health?
The two systems collaborate closely with each other, and refer students to each other. Students who enter therapy at CAPS are often referred for a health physical check before they are prescribed medication by CAPS psychiatrists. In some cases where student health physicians prescribe, they consult with CAPS psychiatrists. CAPS and Student Health also share a clinical team comprised of CAPS and Student Health clinicians to triage eating disorders cases and to determine levels of care.
