Do the anti-terror laws go against the magna carta?
Good question. The EU would eventually replace the UK’s Habeas Corpus (which has it’s origins in the Magna Carta) with Corpus Juris. But sadly those strange words mean absolutely nothing to the average person on the street. So they won’t understand or be interested in checking out the finer details. We are very much creatures of habit. Most people will continue to vote for the same old political parties that they always have, and by doing so they will be helping to clear the way for the slow eradication of some vital freedoms and protections they had previously taken for granted.
