Do the beach coats have a UV Protection Factor Rating?

0

Our beach coats and the beach towels used to make the beach coats have been tested by the Australian Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety Agency (ARPANSA) for the UV Protection Factor. ARPANSA has given our beach coats a rating of 50+ which is the highest rating they give and this also means that the beach coats block 97.5% UVR or more….YAH! Whilst this rating is very high and the beach coats will provide excellent protection from UV radiation, bear in mind that this protection will only be given to parts of the body completely covered by the beach coats. Sunscreen will still need to be applied and other sun protecting measures such as a hat is always recommended.
