Do the Cornish have a derogatory slang word to describe summer visitors or tourists?

They are known as emmets. Cornish people are just a little eccentric and don’t really like their personal territory invaded. However, once a Cornish person gets to no somebody they are really welcoming and hospitable. As for tourists, they welcome them with open arms. After all without them the Cornish would not survive financially throughout the winter. Tourists bring a sense of fun and liveliness to many of the small towns and villages. Having been bought up in Cornwall I never had a problem with them, and neither did my family. In fact my Mum used to put up tourists during their stay. We used to have a right laugh.
