Do the Freedom Bluetooth Stereo Headphone work with the iPhone 3G S voice command feature?
Apple has released the new iPhone 3G S. One of the key features is voice command (not available on the former model iPhone 3G, even with the new software OS 3.0). By pushing the home button you can activate voice command. As of June 2009 this feature does not work with Bluetooth headphones. You must still speak into the mic on the iPhone (or the wired headphones that come with the iPhone). For any device to remotely control iPhone it must have an authentication chip from Apple and also be programmed to use Apple’s simple remote control protocol via bluetooth. Apple has not approved any device to do this with iPhone 3G or iPhone 3GS so that would include voice commands. You can plan for this functionality to make it into bluetooth headphones sometime in 2010.
