Do the muslim Africans (Nigerians, Somalians)… and the christians afro-Americans have the same customs?
Not really. There is actually very little in common. One thing you know of Nigerians and virtually all Africans is that they are very reserved. They relate well to Muslims (even if they aren’t), Chinese and Indians in that regard. American culture is like sort of reserved, yet pretty out going. It isn’t like French, Italian or Brazilian (we’re not that sexy unfortunately lol) though. African-Americans are like the one group in this country who think to be a little louder than others (especially among the poor). I’m guessing it roots out of being deprived of rights and trying to do the opposite of what white southerners do (even though they are much alike). Send 4 white kids into a mall, tell them to start shouting and acting like a bunch of *sses. People will openly laugh at them. Send 4 black kids doing the same exact thing and the attitude will be ”Oh that is how they act.” Unfortunately, aspects of American culture can be a bit dysfunctional at times.
