About one-third of NutriSystem’s foods contain preservatives. These preservatives are commonly used in foods. You can customize to eliminate those food products. The NutriSystem product line is MSG-free. The program contains a small amount of sugar. The entrees in the regular plan provide about 20 grams of sugar per day, and those in the diabetic plan provide about 18 grams per day. Sugar alcohols are ingredients used as sweeteners and bulking agents. The foods contain some sugar alcohols, such as maltitol, sorbitol and isomalt.
