I don’t know if they still sell dogs. I would have thought it had been banned by now. I don’t remember seeing them last time I was there but then I probably wasn’t looking. If you want to buy a puppy then you should contact a breeder of those dogs and go and see them on the farm or wherever they are bred. Even better, get a rescue dog from Battersea Dog’s Home – save a life and have a friend that’s grateful. Dogs are not fashion accessories, they’re living breathing animals and not something to make you look good. They need walking, feeding, trips to the vet and you can never leave them at home while you go away on holiday or to work. Someone must be there during the day at least once to let them out and take them for a walk – even small dogs get bored. Dogs are a huge responsibility. I worry that someone looking to purchase one from a department store might think that it falls in the same category as a Chanel handbag.
