Do tree branch sizes ie diameters grow in accordance to the Fibonaccis equation (The Golden section)?
all of the bodies of matter in the solar system are spaced out fibonnetically ie distance of planets from sun work out to be 1.61803398ratio apart or multiples there of . this ratio bieng the most harmoniousfor the spacing out as it were for particles to co exsist.This ratio can be found in many things in nature from the coils of a snails shell to the circles of seeds on a sunflower but diameters of tree branches are subject tothe amount of growth managed by conditions such as weather and health of tree but you will however see the fibonacci ratio within the tree as a whole e. g. size of root system ratio to tree branch system and tree boughs diameter to say the trunk thickness.
