Yes. Skeletal structures show the path of evolution over time. As you can see, all chordates have the same basic body structure: a head, four limbs, extremities from these limbs, and a tail-like protrusion. It doesn’t matter if this vertebrate is a fish, dolphin, bat, bird, or lizard. If each organism were designed specially for a specific purpose, it is highly unlikely that they would be structured so similarly. Analogous structures could also refer to evidence of body parts no longer needed that have not disappeared simply because they do not hinder the organism enough for it to be an evolutionary disadvantage. Examples include our appendix, pinky toes, a pelvis in dolphins, porpoises, and whales, and the tail bone of all greater apes.
