Do “unlocked” cell phones work with alltel?
Hi is your phone already locked to CDMA network and at present unlocked then sure it will work on alltel network .If it locked to GSM network then eventhough it is unlocked it wont accept alltel network .If you are in need to unlock mobile then visit Wickedunlock.com here they ask you the mobile model ,network name to which your mobile is locked and the IMEI number of your mobile .Then at last they deliver you code to unlock your mobile.
Most unlocked cell phones are GSM (AT&T and T-mobile) and are not compatible with either Sprint, Verizon or Alltel. So no, those will not work. I have heard of some Verizon and Sprint phones being unlocked which then you could, in theory, use with Alltel service. I have not seen these or know how well they work but I do know that things like internet and texting prob will not work all the time with these phones. The best bet is to try and find someone local who might be selling there Alltel phone or find a used one somewhere. Insurance is a great thing too.
