Do walking really helps reduce waist size?
Walking can reduce your waist size, but it also might not. Food has calories. When you eat food your body processes the calories. Some calories are discarded through waste, some are stored as fat, and some is burned to give you energy. When you walk you require energy. If you do not eat enough calories to make up for the energy burned from walking, your body will use the fat to create energy. If your body burns the fat that is around your waist, it will reduce your waist size. For some people your body chooses weird places to store or take the fat from. Although walking does burn calories, don’t expect to walk a mile and lose a pant size. You might burn 150 calories by walking a mile, which is the equivalent to how many calories are in a can of soda.
