Do we need a new social structure in the world?
It would be awesome if all people worked hard, treated each other with respect and kindness, considered other people’s feelings and needs, and if we had unlimited resources and no hardships – unfortunately, the world is a hard place. Considering all the possible outcomes, we’re really doing quite well, overall. It’s true that we could always do better, but I think things are at a pretty high point historically, and we’re in danger of going down hill. Things are starting to reach critical points as far as population, pollution, resources, and so on. I think we still have a good bit of wiggle room, but it’s a question of whether we can spot and address these and other issues before they grow too large to manage. We need to keep making changes, and we need to keep growing in wisdom, and bettering ourselves and our situation, but I’m not sure what type of new social structure would accomplish that. I think it’s more a matter of evolving and growing our current understanding than completely
