Do Women Really Like Bad Boys?
Not every woman like bad boys. Some women do get attracted to bad boys or casanovas mainly because such guys have an element of danger, thrill and recklessness in them, which women find exhilarating. But at the end of the day, we all know that bads boys can just be exciting boyfriends, not a stable and dependable life partner. Any wise woman will know that and will never pursue someone like that as a long-term partner.
Our biology is hardwired for making sure that our genes get passed on to the next generation and stay alive. This means that naturally, most women will be attracted to men that have high levels of testosterone, the hormone that gives men facial/body hair, and causes them to act aggressively. It’s the brainstem, or “reptilian brain” that we all have that is responsible for this attraction. The part that actually thinks, the neocortex, doesn’t even get a chance to think about a guy by the time the reptilian brain has already made a judgment about him.
Reason: Guys with high testosterone levels had what it took to protect women and children in the days of the Cave Man, and our brainstems are still in tune with this fact. The fact of the matter is, that most “Bad Boys” have high testosterone levels, as evidenced by their aggression and confidence.
The situation isn’t lost for the “Good Boys,” though. As an example, look at the way that Chuck Norris is represented in his movies, or in Walker Texas Ranger. People watch the shows because they know that the bad guy is going to get what is coming to him: a backside roundhouse kick to the head from Chuck Norris. The biggest thing that is actually attractive to most women, is masculinity. This shows itself by being confident in who you are and showing it, being willing to speak out and stand up for what you believe in, and not taking crap from ‘punks.’
