Do you believe people are basically good or evil? Is it a learned behavior, genetic, or just circumstantial?
I think clearly we all have the capacity for both good and evil. I would say that as humans develop toward maturity, the good tends to displace the evil, because one begins to realize that one’s own health and happiness are closely associated with generosity, compassion, wisdom, sound ethics, and other qualities associated with “good”. Said briefly, truly growing up brings out the best in humans.
