I’ve heard nothing but good things about it from the seniors and the disabled people, because they only concentrate on Pembroke; they don’t have to go pick up someone in Halifax or Marshfield. What else does the Commission offer beyond transportation? We also do accessibility surveys, making sure all our town buildings are accessible with wheelchair ramps, bathrooms, parking. When we were doing all the schools over, we had to go in there and do a before, during and after tour of the schools, make sure they were all handicapped-accessible. The Town Green is now fully accessible with a ramp, and it did not cost the town one penny. It got done just days before the first Pembroke High School graduation.
