yes you have to pay a monthly subscription of £8.99 per month unless you pay in bulk for 6 months or a year then it comes cheaper, but it is worth doing i have been playing for 3 years and not regretted a penny.

Welcome to WarCrack! You seem to have stumbled upon the purpose of the “free” trial. I don’t know if you have to buy the boxed game off the shelf, but you will have to pay the monthly fee if you want to keep playing — and if you can’t pay the $15/mo. they want you to go away.

You go to the store and buy the game for $20. You then make to make an account. You get the first month free, but it’s $15 a month after that. Paid via credit card, or you can buy a pre-paid time card at a store, enter the code on the site and it gives you play time.
