Do you have to stay at the Mayo Clinic to take the stomach tumor drug Gleevec ?
I have read some of the other questions about stomach tumors and the use of Gleevec at the Mayo Clinic. Is this treatment inpatient or do you just take it during your normal daily routine? I just found out I have one that they say needs to be removed but I guess I have to have some kind of internal sonagram done to find out if it has blood vessels attached to it or not. It would be nice if you didn’t have to wait so long to see if it is cancerous or not. A: Gleevac is an oral agent. It will be prescribed to you and you will take the pills as your doctor prescribes them. Here is the link to the drug’s website.
