Do you know of any good hotels in Athens or the Greek islands that has a nice beach?
There are several hotels along the way from Athens to Sounion that can be suggested. Glyfada is the starting point. Vouliagmeni and Varkiza are next. In Glyfada and Vouliagmeni the good sandy beaches are in organized beaches and you will have to pay entrance. Even though is not very expensive, it is something you will have to consider. In Varkiza you can have both facilities, free and organized. Next is Lagonisi and Saronida where you get both facilities too, however, some of the hotels are quite expensive. If you use www. expedia and the name of the place you get very good information for all available hotels along the way.. The East coast of Attiki is not suggested on account of windy seas not suitable for kids. The last link is of a hotel in Saronida/Anavissos area that has a small private beach and is close to shopping facilities.
