Answer Hey Ken, Thanks for writing. As you may know, many of these companies have been making Fender style guitars since the early 1970s. The trick to avoiding a lawsuit is to change at least 10% of the design to avoid breaking the patent laws. The guitar in question (if I am thinking about the right model. Compabnies like Fernandes change the head stock and the curves of the body slightly to avoid problems with Fender. The guitar is basically decent. However, they are mass produced and are not as well made as a top of the line Fender. Of course, Fender and Gibson are not as well made as they used to be.
