Do you support rangers or celtic the football teams?
I support Celtic as they were started for very noble, charitable reasons and have always had a reputation for playing exciting, attacking, cavalier football. They have a brilliant, original strip and their stadium is easily the biggest in Scotland (for football), is nearly always full, and the fans generate a truly sensational atmosphere on the big occasion! The fans are like brothers. Ex-manager Jock Stein: “If you said to a Celtic fan ‘well done, your team played well’, he’d shake your hand and buy you a drink. If you said the same to a Rangers fan he’d tell you shut up and mind your own business.” This perfectly sums up the differences between the two sets of fans and the clubs as a whole. Ex-manager Tommy Burns to the players: “When you pull on that green jersey, you are not just playing for a football club – you are representing a people and a cause.” This is a club of incredible pride, passion and tradition, more so, in my humble opinion, than any other club in world sport.
