Do you think extended warranties on electrical goods are massively overpriced?
Many years ago my Father thought that his 25 year old TV needed replacing. Being interested in electronics he phoned the manufactures to ask if it was nearing the end of its days. He spoke to a technician who said ‘I am looking at a 25 year old set now and the picture is still good. we go back 35 years at this factory’. My point is that most good manufacturers want their products to last. They don’t want the hassle of replacing parts. Extended warranties are a con. Put the money away instead. You might never have to spend it.
