Mandatory ... NO. Let those that ride make that decision, not lawmakers that are misguided by lobbyists. The answer, as Colin said, lies in education not legislation. It would probably save more lives if it were mandatory to wear a helmet while driving or traveling in a car, than wearing an inflatable jacket on a motorcycle. I'm not opposed to safety, I am opposed to bad legislation.
