Do you think it is a womans highest aim to bear children?

No. While bearing and nurturing children is certainly an important and blessed part of a womans calling, it is not her sole purpose. When God created Eve, He did so because Adam was incomplete and needed a helper who would be bone of his bone and flesh of his flesh (unlike all the animals he had just classified and named — see Genesis 2:18-25). The woman was made for the man to be co-regent with him in his work as keeper of the Garden and builder of society on earth. She is not less of a woman or less of a human if she is unable to bear children. Children are clearly a blessing to be desired by Christian couples (Psalm 127), but they are not the central focus of marriage or the reason for womans being. It is God who opens and closes the womb (Gen. 29:31; 30:22), and His decrees are gracious, even in the midst of barrenness.
