Over 81% (255 tenants) of the responses thought that utilising the office, as a Police Station would bring benefits to the community. Many responses thought that the presence of a Police Station at the heart of the community would have a direct impact on anti-social behaviour and fear of crime, providing a re-assuring presence. Of the 19% who indicated that there would be no benefits the main reason cited was the fact that they felt the Neighbourhood Housing Office was doing an excellent job and should remain. · Do you think it is a good idea for Housing and the Police to work in partnership in this way? Again over 80% of respondents felt this was a good way to work in partnership, with many calling for stronger links between the Police and Housing Services in tackling anti-social behaviour and fear of crime in the area.
