Does a Deep Tissue massage hurt?

A Deep Tissue massage does not have to hurt. When receiving a Deep Tissue massage you should be instructed to rate the pain of the pressure you feel on a scale of 1 10, 10 being strong pain. The pain should never go past a 5 or 6. If it does, tell the therapist immediately the pressure is too much. It is good to keep communicating with the therapist.
