Does a dog deserve to die because he bit someone?

I don’t think animals in general ever deserve to die. A dog that is extremely violent due to abuse cannot be turned loose in the street, and is a liability for potential adopters. Sometimes, euthanasia is the only option. I do believe it is possible to put a dog through anti-aggression training and find an appropriate adopter (possibly someone in law enforcement or someone with dog handling expertise).

It really depends on the situation, if the dog bit someone because it was being teased or hurt or scared then no, it shouldn’t be punished at all. But I recently took in a stray (big male black lab) We had him for about 2 months (he was young, probably a year or two) and all of a sudden he started getting really possesive of me, he wouldn’t let anyone into my bedroom, he attacked our other dog, then he attacked my 16 yr old stepson, then my 13 yr old son, he bit him so bad he needed stitches in his knee. I tried defending the dog each time, and even tried keeping him muzzled, but after my 13 yr old was attacked, my husband had to put him down, it was horrible that I couldn’t change this dog, but there are some that are simply too aggresive.
